Kohlhäu (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kohlhäu is a deserted area on the plateau of the Limpurger Mountains in the municipality of Michelbach an der Bilz in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in northeastern Baden-Württemberg .

Geographical location

The lost place was on a western spur of the Limpurger Mountains about 1.4 km east-southeast of the center of the village of Michelbach. Today a forest path section of the Main-Neckar-Rhein-Weg, marked with a green tree, leads past the former settlement area on its stage between Einkorn and Michelbach- Hirschfelden . The surrounding forest is also called Kohlhäu .

history

The Kohlhäu single farm was not built until the 18th century. In 1852 it was "surrounded by forest", belonged to the class, had 6 residents and was the residence of a princely forest rifleman.

The relevant sheet Hall of the Topographical Atlas of the Kingdom of Württemberg from 1851 shows a single house at the site. An official map from 1936, on the other hand, no longer shows a building, the place name is entered in the backward italic font customary on this map for desertification.
