Matthias Schwarzbach

Matthias Schwarzbach (born November 26, 1966 in Erlangen ) is a German doctor and university lecturer. He is a former professor of surgery at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and former chairman of the German Society for Clinical Process Management. He is currently the chief physician in Frankfurt-Höchst .

Life

After graduating from the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Erlangen in 1987, Schwarzbach studied human medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg . He passed the 3rd state examination in 1993, the American state examination parts 1 and 2 in 1992. In 1994 he received his doctorate in Erlangen, and in 1995 he obtained his license to practice medicine . He completed his specialist training in surgery at the Heidelberg University Hospital , where he also received his habilitation in 2001. After further training in vascular and visceral surgery , he became head of the Mannheim Transplant Center and, in 2007, an adjunct professor of surgery at the University of Heidelberg . In the same year he was awarded the MBA. In 2008 he became the founding chairman of the German Society for Clinical Process Management (DGKPM) eV

In 2010 he became chief physician for the surgery clinic at the Frankfurt Höchst Clinic. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Sarcoma Conference .
