Sarcoma Conference
The Sarcoma Conference has been an interdisciplinary symposium for sarcoma research that has been held annually since 2011 . The venue is generally Berlin, in 2015 it was Münster . The initiators of the conference are among others the German Interdisciplinary Sarcoma Group and the patient organization Das Lebenshaus.
purpose
The Sarcoma Conference is the annual meeting point for therapists, researchers and patient representatives who deal with sarcomas in German-speaking countries. Progress made in Germany is permanently presented to the public and discussed with national and international experts. For practitioners, it serves as a training platform through which they can acquire established knowledge. In particular, the aim is to improve the clinical and qualitative management of sarcomas from diagnostics to therapies and follow-up.

International research award
The conference awards the renowned "International Research Prize of the Sarcoma Conference" every year. The prize sponsored by the GISG German Interdisciplinary Sarcoma Group - GISG and the patient organization for GIST / sarcomas in Germany Das Lebenshaus eV is endowed with 10,000 euros and has been divided equally into categories A (outstanding scientific achievements in the field of clinical or experimental sarcoma research) and B (special career involvement in the diagnosis and therapy of patients with sarcoma diseases).
