The Koidula is an Estonian ferry that operates on Lake Peipus between the small port of Laaksaare and the island of Piirissaar . The ferry belongs to the Estonian state and is operated by the company AS Kihnu Veeteed ( Eng . Kihnu waterways).

The ferry

The Koidula designed by OÜ MEC Insenerilahendused was built at OÜ Reval Shipbuilding in Tallinn and delivered in spring 2009. The ferry can carry 50 passengers and five cars. During a repair in 2011 the ferry was temporarily replaced by the motor ship Peksi .
