Koiwa Zima ( transcription from Japanese 小 岩 島 'Little Rock Island' ) is a flat island off the Prince Harald Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It belongs to the Flatvær archipelago and is located immediately south of Iwa-zima in the north-eastern part of the Lützow-Holm Bay .
Norwegian cartographers mapped them in 1946 using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . Japanese scientists gave it its profane name in 1974.
