Koldo Álvarez (born September 4, 1970 in Vitoria in the Spanish Basque Country ; actually Jesús Luís Alvárez de Eulate ) is a former Andorran football goalkeeper of Basque origin. Since February 2010 he has been the head coach of the Andorran national team .

Career

Alvárez began his career in his hometown with CD Aurrerá de Vitoria . From there he went to Atlético Madrid , CD Toledo and UD Salamanca in 1994 to Andorra to FC Andorra , where he stayed with CF Balaguer until the end of his career. He guarded the goal 78 times for the Andorra national team , making him one of the players with the most appearances for Andorra. He played his last game for his country on June 10, 2009 against England . At the Golden Player Awards in 2003, Koldo was voted the best player of the past 50 years by the Andorran Football Association . After his career ended, Koldo decided to continue working as a coach, in 2010 he became the coach of the Andorran national team and replaced David Rodrigo .
