The Kolksee is located about two kilometers southeast of Schellhorn near Preetz in the Schleswig-Holstein district of Plön in Germany , about 300 meters east of the Lanker See .
The nutrient-rich, calcareous lake is part of a six-hectare FFH area in a channel of Weichselian young moraine landscape of Holstein Switzerland .
The rare rush edge ( Cladium mariscus ) is widespread in the bank vegetation of the clean clear water lake .
