Geralyn Lucas
Geralyn B. Lucas (* 1963 ) is an American journalist and author. Lucas developed breast cancer at the age of 27 . Your experience report Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy was translated into several languages and filmed.
Life
Geralyn Lucas studied journalism and worked as a journalist and television producer for the American Broadcasting Company in New York. Lucas described her breast cancer and the mastectomy that followed in her book Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy ( Why I wore lipstick to my mastectomy ). The book has since been translated into several languages and filmed in 2006 with Sarah Chalke in the lead role. The film was nominated for best TV film at the 2007 Emmy Awards .
Geralyn Lucas is married and has two children.
