The College Marijampolė (lit. Marijampolės kolegija ) is a state university in Marijampolė ( Lithuania ). The course at the college takes 3–4 years.
history
1919 was the teachers' seminary Marijampolė and 1926, the agricultural school Kvietiškis ( žemesnioji žemės ūkio mokykla ), the subsequent technical founded. In 1952 the seminar became the Marijampolė Pedagogical School. From 1966 to 1968 the school was expanded; there were 800 students and about 80 to 85 teachers. In 1983 a department was established in Kaunas . Since September 2001 the higher pedagogical school became a faculty of the college. In 2011 there were 1,500 students. In 2013 the budget was over 2 million euros. In September 2014 there were 64 full-time teachers and 172 people were employed, including 149 teachers (99 of whom were full-time).
In Kvietiškis there are plans to build a student town in 2020.
