Edvardas Prichodskis

Edvardas Prichodskis (born February 29, 1936 in Noškūnai , Varėna district , Lithuania ; † October 2, 2012 in Jonava ) was a Soviet-Lithuanian politician of the Jonava district , first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Lithuania (LKP), from 2000 an honorary citizen of the Jonava district .

Life

On April 13, 1936 Edvardas Prichodskis was baptized in the Rudnia Church near Varėna . In 1954 he graduated from the Marijampolė Teachers' College and in 1970 he studied at the Vilnius Party School . Until 1960 he worked in the district of Lazdijai , then in Eišiškės , in the district of Šalčininkai . From August 18, 1977 to November 24, 1988, he was First Secretary of the Jonava Party Committee of the LKP. From 1982 he was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of Soviet Lithuania. In 1986 he became an Honored Cultural Person of Soviet Lithuania .

Edvardas Prichodskis was the head of the Jonava Rajon for many years . He was a member of the Communist Party ( CPSU and LKP). As the first secretary of the executive committee, he organized the construction of reservoirs (of Varnutė ), the Jonava stadium , squares and the renovation of streets.

His grave is in the Jonava cemetery , by the cemetery chapel .

Prichodskis was married. His wife Aldona is a teacher. Her daughters are Asta and Vilija.

Honors

  • Honored Associate of the Culture of Soviet Lithuania , 1986
  • Honorary Citizen of Jonava, 2000.
