Wegenstedt Colony
The colony of Wegenstedt , with an area of 1.49 km², is a residential area of the municipality of Calvörde .

geography
The Wegenstedt colony is approx. 12 kilometers from the center of Calvörde and is located in the Wegenstedter Drömling. The Mittelland Canal and the Allerkanal as well as the Landgraben run south of this colony . The Landgraben flows here into the Allerkanal and runs through a culvert under the Mittellandkanal. So the Allerkanal leaves the boundary of the colony. Not far from this colony is the Mannhausen shallow water zone and the other Calvörde residential areas in Drömling such as Piplockenburg , Mannhausen Colony and the Kämkerhorst .
history
Until December 31, 2010, the area of the Wegenstedt colony with the Wegenstedter Drömling as an exclave belonged to the former municipality of Wegenstedt. Today the colony is a residential area of Calvörde in the district of Börde , Saxony-Anhalt .
