The Kolyvan Crest ( Russian Колыванский хребет ) is a mountain in the region Altai in the north-west of the Altai .
The Kolyvan ridge is about 100 km long. It reaches in the eastern part average heights of 600- 800 m . The highest point is the 1206 m high Sinjucha . The western mountainous part has a level of 400 500 m . The small town of Smeinogorsk is located on the southwest flank . The mountains consist of granite , mica slate , pumice stone and tuff . It is a depository of various metal ores. It has deposits of jasper , porphyry and quartzite . The mountains have gentle mountain slopes to the east, which are covered with birch and aspen forest.
