Teatrul de Comedie ( German Komödientheater ) is a theater in Lipscani in the historic center of Bucharest , Romania .
history
The theater was opened on January 5, 1961 by Radu Beligan , who ran it for eight years until 1969.
With the play A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare , the theater went on tour from 1991–1992, visiting several cities in Great Britain , Colombia , Venezuela and Canada . In 2002 the Romanian comedy festival FestCO was opened here, which took place internationally for the fifth time. In 2006, the theater was the venue of the competition, the Romanian comedy and Gala of the Romanian comedy .
