The freight traffic center Burghausen (also KV-Terminal Burghausen or KombiTerminal Burghausen , KTB for short ) is a container terminal for combined transport in Burghausen in the Bavarian district of Altötting , which is connected to the Mühldorf – Burghausen railway line .

By 2014, there was capacity for 40,000 lifts (reloading of containers between trucks and trains) and space for 1,000 containers, plus 600 containers in an adjacent depot. For this purpose, a forest area of 12 hectares was cleared in the immediate vicinity of the Wacker Chemie and OMV refinery premises .

The groundbreaking ceremony for the 35 million euro project took place on November 30, 2012.

In April 2014, the KTB's portal crane was put into operation. Since then, the terminal has been in trial operation; regular operation was scheduled for June 2014. However, the operating permit under railway law was only issued on October 30, 2014; the official opening took place on January 19, 2015.

In December 2017, the second expansion stage was completed with the commissioning of a second gantry crane. This means that 60,000 strokes can be carried out annually. Since February 2018, a total of 15 train connections have been offered to the German seaports, to Neuss , to Trieste and to Ludwigshafen .

The shareholders of the operating company KombiTerminal Burghausen GmbH , based in Mainz, are Deutsche Umschlaggesellschaft Schiene-Straße , DB Schenker BTT and the forwarding company Karl Schmidt.
