The Command Management Operations of Special Forces (Kdo FOSK) was a cross- armed forces independent command within the armed forces base of the Bundeswehr , which planned and led the operations of German special forces at the operational level.

history

With instructions dated January 10, 2005, the commando was set up on April 15, 2005, based in the Henning-von-Tresckow barracks in Geltow near Potsdam . The command and control command of the Bundeswehr is also stationed at the same location .

In April 2012, the command was incorporated into the operational command as a new special operations department . This means that conventional and special forces are managed in an emergency room from a single source.

Insinuation

In terms of troops, the command for command and control operations of special forces , just like the command and control command of the Bundeswehr , was subordinate to the Deputy Inspector General of the Bundeswehr and inspector of the armed forces base . Operationally, however, it was directly subordinate to the General Inspector of the Bundeswehr .

It led the subordinate units only in action. In "normal operation" the units of the Special Forces Command (KSK) and the Specialized Operations Forces Marine (SEK M) were subordinate to their home units , and thus to the Special Operations Division and the Operational Flotilla 1 .
