Communion bench in Flêtre

The communion bench in the church of St-Mathieu von Flêtre , a French parish in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in 1759. The communion bench made of oak was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France in 1906 as Monument historique .

The communion bench in the Louis-quinze style has carvings depicting the Last Supper and scenes from the Old Testament .

The following inscription is attached to the top:

"MEMORIE VAN JOUFE CATHARINE RUCKEBUSCHE FA DHR JAN BAPT BY JOUFE MARY JACOBA ISENBRANDT WEDUF VAN WT DR EN DE MR PIETER VITOR VAN DE GOSTEENE DE WELCKE IN HET MAECKEN VAN DE SEEN COMMUNIE BANCK HEEFT GHE CONTRIBERT 1759"
