The Kommounistikí Orgánosi Elládas ( Greek : Κομμουνιστική Οργάνωση Ελλάδας , KOE, German : Communist Organization of Greece ) is a Greek communist organization that, according to its own statements , is based on the revolutionary Marxism founded by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels , as well as on Leninism Oriented by Mao Zedong's writings . It calls for the creation of a "people's power" .
politics
According to its own reports, the KOE is fighting for an independent Greece liberated from imperialism and war and calling for the country to leave NATO and the EU and for the dissolution of “imperialist organizations” such as the IMF and WHO . To achieve its goals, the organization works with various mass organizations, including the Union of the Working People and the Greek Social Forum . The KOE was a member of the Greek left party SYRIZA - United Social Front . In August 2015, the SYRIZA internal organization Communist Currents reported the KOE's intention to end its membership in SYRIZA.
International
The KOE is a member of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (ICMLPO), the Balkan Conference of Communist and Workers' Parties (BCCWP) and a founding member of the International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties and Organizations (ICOR).

According to its own statement, the KOE is the third largest left-wing organization in the country and has grassroots organizations in 38 Greek cities. As a result, it can be found “all over the country, including various islands”.
history
At its founding congress held in January 2003, the KOE emerged from the organization A / synechia (German: "Continuity"). The second KOE congress took place in June 2007.
In July 2013, the organization announced that it would cease its independent external communication in order to strengthen SYRIZA and its unity as a party.
In July 2015, the KOE ended its collaboration and support for SYRIZA.
Publications
“Aristera!” (German: “Links!”) Was the name of the national bi-weekly body of the KOE, which was discontinued in January 2010. Since February 2010 the KOE has been publishing a publication called “Dromos tis aristeras” (German: “Path of the Left”) together with another left-wing organization.
The organization publishes its own theoretical organ .
The KOE has its own publishing house called "Editions A / synechia".
