The Comorian thrush ( Turdus bewsheri ) is a songbird from the thrush family (Turdidae).

features

The bird measures 22–24 cm, weighs 57–68 g. The top is monochrome olive brown, white on the chin and throat, gray chest, white spotted belly. The beak is gray, the legs yellowish.

Occurrence

The Comorian thrush occurs in the Comoros and Mayotte . It prefers wooded areas.

behavior

The bird feeds on seeds, fruits, small insects, and beetles. The breeding season is between August and October.

The Comorian thrush is not considered to be endangered ( Least Concern ).
