Jörg Streng
Jörg Streng (born January 24, 1965 in Flensburg ) is a German architect , guitarist , composer and songwriter .
Life
Streng was born in Flensburg and works as an architect and urban planner in Bayreuth . Together with his wife, he volunteers the musical work of the "Evangelical Youth Bayreuth - Group Luther", which is one of the largest regional groups within the Bavarian regional church . From 1986 onwards, numerous new Christian songs were created on the occasion of the “open evenings” or at the annual large leisure time. The first solo album “Über Grenzeniegen” was released in September 2016, musically arranged, implemented with a small band and produced by David Plüss .
The songwriter's compositions have been published by SCM Hänssler-Verlag and self-published by “Unterwegs”. Participants are the studio choir of the Evangelical Youth Bayreuth, the ERF studio choir and soloists such as Christoph Zehendner and Sarah Kaiser . On many weekends he is on the road with his songs to Christian events in church parishes or at congresses. Some of his songs were included in the songbook Celebrate Jesus! recorded.
Jörg Streng is married to his wife Gisela. The couple has four children and lives in Bayreuth.
