Konarzewo (also Pogorzelickie Bagno ; German  Kirchhagener See ) is a beach lake in the Gmina Rewal and thus belongs to the Powiat Gryficki in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

description

The formation of the lake is associated with the melting of a block of dead ice after the last glacial period and the subsequent Holocene transformations. Originally it was almost circular with a diameter of about one kilometer. By progressive silting the open water has taken the form of a broken ring in the northeast. The lake's water level is two meters above sea level and its greatest depth is 2.5 meters.

The lake is located 8.5 km west-northwest of Trzebiatów and only 1.3 km from the Baltic Sea . The north shore of the lake borders the Liwski Las coastal forest with old pine and oak stocks, in which the 39 m high Sowia Góra (German Bunte Berg ) is 500 m away . On the south bank of the Konarzewo there are meadows that drain into the lake through several channels. The only place on the shore of the lake is Pogorzelica (German fisherman's cottage ) in the west. The lake is connected to Rega in the east by the Mrzeżyno II Canal.

The lake is the habitat of an increasing number of water birds in recent years , which probably come from the nature reserve Liwia Łuża (German Horst-Eiersberger See ). You can find quail , cranes , gray geese , shovelers , red-necked grebes and wood sandpipers .

The lake is located in the Natura 2000 areas “Wybrzeże Trzebiatowskie” (PLB320010) and “Trzebiatowsko-Kołobrzeski Pas Nadmorski” (PLH320017).
