Konrad Hagedorn

Konrad Hagedorn (born December 15, 1948 ) is a German agricultural economist and professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Life

Konrad Hagedorn graduated from high school in Papenburg / Ems in 1967 . From 1968 he studied agricultural sciences at the University of Göttingen and graduated in 1975 with a degree in agricultural engineering. In 1979 he received his doctorate on the subject of agricultural social policy in the Federal Republic of Germany at the University of Göttingen.

Hagedorn is professor and head of the Resource Economics department at the Humboldt University in Berlin and director of the Berlin Institute for Cooperatives . He is active in the field of agricultural policy , in particular agricultural structure policy and agri-environmental policy as well as institutional research and political economy. His current work focuses on the combination of institutional economics, environmental economics with questions of transformation. His work also includes processes of EU agricultural reform and the evaluation of agri-environmental problems. He has published over 200 scientific articles and has been and still is involved in extensive national and international research projects.
