Konrad I. (Ebrach)
Konrad I was abbot of the Cistercian monastery in Ebrach from 1178 until his resignation before 1180 .
Life
Nothing is known about the exact dates of life of Abbot Konrad I. He was probably born in the 12th century and soon afterwards entered the Cistercian monastery in Ebrach. Here he became the third ruler of the abbey after Rapatho. For the first time as such, however, Conrad I was not recorded until 1178. During his tenure, the aristocrat Arnold von Rothenburg donated the Elgersheimer Hof , later the official seat of the monastery, to Ebrach. Abbot Konrad resigned at an unknown time before 1180 and died without knowing the sources.
