Konrad I. von Berg
Konrad I von Berg († May 25, 1313 ) was Bishop of Münster from 1306 to 1310 .
Life
Konrad was a son of Count Adolf IV von Berg and Margarete von Hochstaden . He was thus the brother of Count Adolf V. von Berg .
Konrad became provost of the cathedral in Cologne in 1274 and was first canon in Münster before becoming bishop of Münster in 1306. He stayed in this office until 1310, his brother, Count Adolf V. von Berg, wanted to install Konrad I as the 57th Archbishop of Cologne after the death of Cologne Archbishop Engelbert II. Von Falkenburg on October 20, 1274 , but Siegfried von sat down Westerburg as an opposing candidate.
Konrad is buried in Altenberg Cathedral .
