Konrad Krzysztof Szymański (born December 6, 1969 in Kalisz ) is a Polish politician ( PiS ). From 2004 to 2014 he was a member of the European Parliament and since 2015 he has been State Secretary for European Affairs in the Polish Foreign Ministry .

Szymański studied law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan , where he graduated in 1995. He worked in various press agencies and media and worked as a political advisor for Marcin Libicki and Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz , among others . From 1989 to 2000 he was a member of the Zjednoczenie Chrześcijańsko-Narodowe (Christian National Union) party, of which he has been a member since 1997. From 1998 to 2002 he was also a board member of the umbrella organization of the Polish right to life movement . In the 2004 European elections and the European elections in 2009 , he was the European Parliament voted.
