Konrad Wiche
Konrad Wiche (born November 2, 1913 in Vienna , † November 8, 1969 in Mainz ) was an Austrian geographer .
Life
From 1931 to 1937 he studied geography and history at the University of Vienna . After receiving his doctorate in 1939 with Johann Sölch with a dissertation on the morphology of the Höllengebirge and its immediate surroundings , he worked from 1939 to 1940 as a research assistant to Hugo Hassinger at the University of Vienna. After his habilitation in 1950 at the University of Vienna with the habilitation thesis Morphogenese der Gesäuseberge he was professor in Vienna from 1956 to 1965. From 1965 to 1969 he was Professor of Geography in Mainz .
