The Konsarnag (also Konsar Nag or Kausarnag ) is a mountain lake in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir .
The Konsarnag is located in the Pir Panjal mountain range south of the plateau of the Kashmir Valley at an altitude of 3489 m . The lake covers an area of 110 hectares and has a circumference of 6.87 km. It measures 2.9 km in SE-NW direction. Its maximum width is 800 m. The outflow from the lake feeds the Veshav River , which flows north and reaches the Kashmir Valley at Aharbal .
The lake is considered a tourist destination. A starting point for tours to the lake is the town of Shopian, 24 km north-northeast .
