Konstantin Ponomarev

Konstantin Ponomarev (born October 17, 1992 in Miass , Russia , as Константин Петрович Пономарев ) is a Russian professional boxer and is currently unbeaten. He is the current Russian champion in the middleweight division and among other former NABF champion in the welterweight division . He boxes in the normal display and is trained by the Mexican master trainer Abel Sanchez .

Professional career

Ponomarev started his professional career in 2010.

At the end of May 2011 he competed against the Ukrainian Fedor Mushtranov for the vacant youth world championship belt of the WBC and won an eight-round fight by unanimous decision. At the end of November of the same year he won the WBC Youth Intercontinental title when he also defeated the Georgian Beka Sutidze over eight rounds by a unanimous judge's decision.

On March 24, 2018, Ponomarev beat Pavel Mamontov over 10 rounds on points for the Russian championship.
