Konstantinos Kabasilas
Konstantinos Kabasilas ( Middle Greek Κωνσταντῖνος Καβάσιλας , before 1235 – after 1259) was a Byzantine cleric in the middle of the 13th century. Before 1235 he was Archbishop of Strumica and then Metropolitan of Dyrrhachium . In the 1250s he was appointed Archbishop of Ohrid .
He was the brother of Johannes Kabasilas, an official at the court of the despot of Epirus , Michael II. Komnenos Doukas , and of Theodoros Kabasilas, another supporter of Michael II. Because of this close connection, he came under suspicion with the Emperor of Nikaia Theodor II and was imprisoned until 1259. Michael VIII Palaiologos set him free again and allowed him to return to his bishopric.
