Emil Geörger
Emil Geörger (born February 27, 1912 in Schaidt ; † May 21, 1967 ) was a German farmer and politician ( CDU ).
Life
Geörger was born the son of a farmer. He had been a professional soldier since 1930 and took part in the Second World War until 1945 , most recently as a staff sergeant. After the end of the war, he worked on his parents' farm, which he later took over as an independent farmer.
Geörger joined the CDU and was elected honorary mayor of Schaidt in 1948. In the state elections in 1955 , he was elected as a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament, to which he belonged without interruption until his death on May 21, 1967. Dieter Ziegler took over his state parliament mandate in the replacement procedure.
Emil Geörger was married and had one child. The Emil-Geörger-Ring in Wörth am Rhein was named after him.
