Macedonian Orthodox Church

Renewed abolition of the diocese by the communists. Due to the change in political conditions, the archbishopric was re-established, but not recognized as canonical by the other Orthodox churches. The Archbishops of Ohrid are both Archbishops of the Macedonian Orthodox Church and Metropolitans of Skopje . The seat of the archbishops is in Skopje.
