Konstantinos Konstantopoulos
Konstantinos Konstantopoulos ( Greek : Κωνσταντίνος Κωνσταντόπουλος) (* 1832 ; † 1910 in Athens ) was a Greek politician and Prime Minister of Greece.
Konstantopoulos was during the reign of I. King Otto mayor of Patras . Later he was Prefect of the Prefectures of Achaia and Elis .
He was later elected as a member of the Nationalist Party (Komma Ethnikofronon) by Alexandros Koumoundouros to the National Assembly (Voulí ton Ellínon) . There he represented the constituency of Mantineia , a city in Arcadia, until 1904 . From 1890 to 1892 he was President of the National Assembly.
After the resignation of Prime Minister Theodoros Deligiannis due to differences of opinion with King George I on economic issues, Konstantopoulos became his successor on March 1, 1892. He was commissioned by the king to hold early elections. In the election to the National Assembly on May 3, 1892, the Nationalist Party of Konstantopoulos and Deligiannis was defeated by the New Reform Party of Charilaos Trikoupis . On June 22, 1892, he handed over the office of Prime Minister to Trikoupis.
