Konstantinos Rallis

Konstantinos Rallis ( Greek Κωνσταντἵνος Ράλλης ; * 1867 in Athens ; † 1942 ibid.) Was a Greek legal scholar and member of the Academy of Athens .

Life

Rallis had studied in Leipzig from 1886 to 1889 and received his doctorate. In 1891 he completed his habilitation. At first he was interested in Roman legal history. In 1910 he accepted the chair for canon law at the theological faculty of the University of Athens and in 1916 moved to the chair for canon law at the law faculty. His successor at the theological faculty was Hamilcar S. Alivizatos . Rallis retained the chair of canon law until his retirement in 1937.

In 1929 Rallis became a member of the Academy of Athens .
