The Koralle is a two-man recreational dinghy with a sail area of 8.5 m² or 10.5 m² in the regatta version. It was manufactured by Atlanta Bootsbau GmbH in Weitnau, Allgäu, from the 1960s until the manufacturer went bankrupt in 1978.

Technical specifications

In the first years of construction, the hull was made of plywood using a knickspant construction (model 'S5'), later the construction was converted to the round-frame construction with a GRP fuselage (model 'S6R').

A special constructive feature of the coral are the chimney swords used instead of a central sword. At first it was plug-in swords. Later there were folding swords that were pivoted into the side sword cases using a simple rotating mechanism. Due to its low weight and the divisible mast, the coral is basically suitable for roof-top transport. The yardstick number of the boat with the sail area of 8.5 m² is 121, for 10.5 m² 119.

Other models from Atlanta Bootsbau GmbH were the Flamingo, the Atlanta 4.40 and the Kolibri .
