Koroush Namazi
Koroush Namazi (* 1959 in Tehran ) is an Iranian - German painter .
Life
Koroush Namazi graduated from the Ayden Aghdaslu School of Art and Painting in 1985 after three years of study . He taught as a lecturer at the University of Tehran . In 1984 he took part in the exhibition of the Goethe Institute in Tehran. At the end of the 1980s he came to Germany as an asylum seeker . In 1992 he received second prize in the painting category of the Kirn Art Prize . He lives in Mainz .
His works are in collections and privately owned worldwide.
style
Koroush Namazi mainly uses acrylic paints, some in mixed media on canvas. The representations mostly show figure-like appearances with clear lines and contours. In many works these are transformed from their representational nature. Most of his works can be assigned to the abstract painting of modern art .
