Correction downwards & the need for a translation is the second studio album of the Hamburg electro project Bratze , which was released in March 2010 by Audiolith Records .
Emergence
After their debut album Kraft , Kevin Hamann and Norman Kolodziej returned to their solo projects. In 2009 Hamann released the album as ClickClickDecker according to the circumstances , Kolodziej as Der Tante Renate the album Splitter .
Correction downwards was made at Kolodziej's home; the two artists worked together more often than with their predecessor. According to Hamann, the texts are formulated more directly and consciously than on Kraft , even if they should still leave the listener room for interpretation.
The single "Without that it's just loud" was released in advance, and a music video was shot for it.

The overarching theme of the album is criticism of both society and the individual. Kevin Hamann said in an interview: "You should first sweep in front of your own front door, each of us knows that best before you somehow question the big picture."
The song “Das Einfach Fluten” deals with the influence that social networks like Facebook and StudiVZ have, combined with the request to evade this influence.
In “Trapez”, Hamann deals with gentrification . The title was created in the summer of 2009, before the debate gained importance in his home town of Hamburg in autumn . In an interview, Hamann spoke out against instrumentalizing the song in the discussion about the Gängeviertel . The topic is very important, but Bratze "never wants to be politically positioned about a song".

Florian Kroha wrote for Motor.de that if you correct it downwards, Kevin Hamann would manage to practice crystal-clear social criticism through a "jungle of aphorisms [...]." Musically, the duo rely less on "poppy [...] hooks", instead they are dominated by an "offensive form of driving electro -junk."
The album, like its predecessor Kraft , could not place itself in the German album charts .
