Kraft is the fifth studio album by the German soul band Glashaus . It was released on April 28, 2017 under Pelham's label 3p . It is the band's first studio album in twelve years with their first line-up, as Cassandra Steen returned to the band as a singer. The last album Neu (2009) was recorded with Peppa Singt .

The album was recorded from October 2013 to November 2016, which is three years. All lyrics are from Moses Pelham and Martin Haas , who also produced the album. The recordings all took place in Frankfurt am Main , namely in the USP studio and in the center of change.

The single Feels sich wie die an was released on December 20 and 21, 2016, along with a music video. The band announced their comeback with Steen and the title of the new album. The second single Gebt mir mein Leben zurück was released on February 3, 2017, at the same time the album could be pre-ordered on iTunes, among others . The third single Kraft was released in the same month, namely on February 24, 2017. The music video was released on February 23, 2017 on Youtube. On April 7, 2017, the fourth single was released, the first time . Due to the participation of Pelham in the TV show Sing my song - The exchange concert , he sang the song Gegen den Strom there with Steen. The song was released as a fifth single on June 9, 2017. A lyrics video was released from Youtube on the same day.

There are twelve tracks on the standard version of the album. The deluxe version has two more tracks, and this version also has a second CD with all 14 instrumental pieces. All titles except for the intro Do You Really Wanna Be Free are written in German, the title mentioned is written entirely in English. The deluxe version of the album has a playing time of just under an hour (without instrumentals).

Chart placements
In the week after the album was released, it was able to place it at number 16 on the album charts in Germany. In total, it stayed in the charts for four weeks. For the band this is the sixth chart success in the album charts in Germany. For Pelham this is the ninth chart success, while for Steen it is also the ninth chart success in the German album charts. In Austria and Switzerland, the album could not place in the charts.
