Peppa

Peppa , also Peppa Singt , (born May 18, 1989 in Berlin-Kreuzberg , real name Giuseppa Singt ) is a German singer and songwriter .

Life

Peppa was born in Berlin-Kreuzberg , but grew up in a rural area in the Rhein-Sieg district . As the granddaughter of a soprano and daughter of the orchestral and jazz musician Walter Gauchel , she received an early musical education from an early age.

Due to her highly pronounced musicality at an early age, she received a music scholarship for gifted people at a very young age.

In mid-2008 she was discovered by the German producer Moses Pelham via the online portal Myspace and then invited to a meeting in Frankfurt for possible musical collaboration . Shortly thereafter, Pelham took them under contract with their own label 3P .

She first became known to a larger audience in 2009 as the new voice of the German soul band Glashaus , with whom she released a studio album , a live album and two singles .

In 2013 a one-time reunion concert took place together with the former singer Cassandra Steen in Frankfurt's Alte Oper . In addition to Glashaus, she mainly collaborates with artists from the German hip-hop scene, for example together with Moses Pelham on the No. 1 album "KAOS" by Frankfurt rapper Vega .

Since 2014 she has occasionally been on the road as a live and studio musician with the German folk project L'Aupaire .
