The Kosco Glacier is a 32 km long glacier on the Dufek coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows north from Anderson Heights in the Bush Mountains to the Ross Ice Shelf , which it reaches between the Wilson Portal and Mount Speed .
He was discovered during an overflight between February 29 and March 1, 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Captain George Francis Kosco (1908–1985) of the United States Navy , flight and scientific director of Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
