Kosta Abrašević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Коста Абрашевић ) (born May 29, 1879 in Ohrid , † January 20, 1898 in Šabac ) was a Serbian poet .

Abrašević is considered to be the founder of proletarian poetry in Serbia. His realistic poems, which are dedicated to the life of the workers (including "Rot", 1893; "Der Dieb" 1896 and "In der Grube", 1897), are influenced by revolutionary romanticism and permeated by socialist ideas .
