The Hofgebäude Kothausen 12 is in the district Kothausen in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia )

The building was built in the first half of the 18th century. It was entered under No. K 042 on March 8, 1990 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

location

The farm is located on the southwestern outskirts of Kothausen on the road to Gerkerath .

architecture

The courtyard consists of the eaves-side residential building with an attached gate passage, a gable-side half-timbered barn arranged at right angles to the gatehouse and two other farm buildings that border the inner courtyard but are not protected.

Residential house: Eaves, two-storey, transversely closed and eight-axis half - timbered building under a gable roof . Brick masonry faded in.

Gatehouse: half-timbered construction (post and frame work), horizontal compartments lined with brick . Double-leaf courtyard gate and separate slip gate . Extended roof overhang on the street side.

Barn: half-timbered construction (post and frame work), horizontal compartments, stiffening with short struts.

The property is definitely worth protecting as a monument for urban, architectural, historical, settlement and socio-historical reasons.
