Kotthausen is a district of Seelscheid in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .
location
The formerly independent village of Kotthausen is located in the southeast of Seelscheid on the slopes of the Wahnbach valley . Former neighboring towns were Schaaren in the east and Hausen in the north.
history
In 1830 Kotthausen had 52 inhabitants. In 1845 the hamlet had 31 Catholic and Protestant residents (62) in 15 houses. In 1888 there were 61 residents in 16 houses.
In 1910 the farmers Gottlieb Haas, August and Wilhelm Heinen, widow Johann and Robert Pütz, August and Heinrich Piel and Wilhelm Schöneshöfer lived here.
The settlement belonged to the Seelscheid community until 1969.
