Historia de un Amor (Eng. Story of a love ) is a song written in 1955 by the Panamanian entrepreneur and composer Carlos Eleta Almarán, which was originally assigned to the Bolero and gradually found its way into other musical genres.

The song, written in memory of a loved one, which according to research by music historian César del Vasto now exists in at least 56 versions in ten languages, is one of the most played and best-selling Spanish - language music titles. There are several versions in Mexico alone . In addition to recordings by Pedro Infante and Ana Gabriel , Guadalupe Pineda , who was born in Guadalajara , also found its way into mariachi . The song tells of a lost love and includes statements like Ya no estás más a mi lado, corazón, en el alma sólo tengo soledad (Eng.
