Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri (born April 19, 1970 in San Juan , Puerto Rico ) is a Mexican singer of Latin American music . With six Grammys and six Latin Grammys , he is one of the most successful artists in this field.

Career

With Un sol 's debut album was released the then eleven-year old singer with EMI / Mexico. In Italy he took part in the Sanremo Festival in 1985 , in the same year he sang the duet Me gustas tal como eres with Sheena Easton . For this he received his first Grammy Award. His 1991 album Romance with Boleros from the 1950s was a huge success and sold millions of copies. In 1996 he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . Big tours like the Amarte-es-un-placer-Tour (1999-2000, 103 concerts) and the Mis-romances-Tour (2002, 62 concerts) took him to North and South America and Spain.
