The Kovada Gölü is a lake in Turkey , which is about 100 kilometers north of Antalya and about 40 kilometers southeast of Isparta .
The lake is located in Eğirdir County, Isparta Province . In 1970 the area around the lake was declared the Kovada Gölü National Park ( Turkish: Kovada Gölü Millî Parkı ).
The lake is at an altitude of 908 m above sea level and covers an area of about 1100 hectares . It is 5.5 kilometers long and between two and three kilometers wide. Its depth is six to seven meters. The lake is fed by a 25 km long natural canal from Lake Eğirdir Gölü to the north .
The water leaves the lake via the Kovada Çayı , a left tributary of the Aksu Çayı . The gradient between Kovada Gölü and Aksu Çayı is used by two hydropower plants connected in series ( Kovada-1 with 8.2 MW and Kovada-2 with 51.2 MW) to generate electricity .
