Královské pole (German: Königsfeld ) is a historical place in the Czech Republic , where, according to Přemysl, the plowman was called to be King of Bohemia. Královské pole has been a national cultural monument since 1962 .

location

Královské pole is located west of Stadice ( Staditz ) near Ústí nad Labem ( Aussig ) in northern Bohemia ( Czech Republic ) in the valley of the Bílina . The monument can be reached from the state road 258 in the direction of Hliňany and is located between the Trmice – Bílina railway line and the R 63 expressway or the D 8 motorway .

history

Since 1841 there has been a monument on the Königsfeld, which shows a bronze plow on a stone plinth. On the sides there are iron, classical relief plates with motifs from the Přemyslid saga . The ploughman's monument (Oráčův pomník) in the middle of a park was designed by the architect F. Staumann on behalf of the Nostitz family . The relief plates come from Joseph Max . The old Czech inscription on the front side means: HERE FROM PFLUG WEG PŘEMYSL WAS CHOSEN TO THE DUCHY. CREATE MDCCCXLI.
