The Bílina (German Biela ) is a left tributary of the Elbe in northern Bohemia ( Czech Republic ).

It rises in the central Bohemian Ore Mountains two kilometers west of Zákoutí (Bernau) and flows in a north-easterly direction through the towns of Jirkov (Görkau) , Most (Brüx) , Bílina (Bilin) and Trmice (Türmitz) , until it finally reaches 49 km in Ústí nad Labem (Aussig) flows into the Elbe .

In the Biela valley there are rich brown coal deposits . Their dismantling in open-cast mining meant that numerous villages were dredged. The old town of Brüx also fell victim to lignite mining; Today's Most is a prefabricated prefabricated town built as a replacement.

The Bílina flows today through a landscape characterized by opencast mines and their remaining holes. At the overpass of the Ervěnický koridor it is piped.

The river is dammed in the Jirkov dam and the Újezd reservoir.

The railway lines Ústí nad Labem – Chomutov and Trmice – Bílina (Bielatalbahn) run along the river .
