Krümmel (noble family)

Krümmel , historically also Krumel , Krummel or Krymmele , is the name of an extinct Pomeranian noble family .

history

In 1355 received Friedrich Krummel , which also secured regular series begins, the goods Dünnow , mugger , Horst , Lindow and Starkow as a fief . In 1499 Jürgen Krumel (= Georg I von Krümmel ) was enfeoffed with these goods. In 1544 Christoph and Wulf received Krümmel from Duke Barnim IX. from Pomerania-Stettin their fiefs. At that time, Horst and Storkow were no longer with the family. According to legend, Wulf Krümmel had ceded it to the Gallenzin monastery as atonement for the murder of the priests that he had committed . With Georg II von Krümmel (1539–1602) ⚭ Margarthe von Below , who was in special favor of Duke Johann Friedrich , because he had not only received the entire hand of the previous family property and the Feldmark Reddichow acquired from him, but also on the property of his wife's family, the sex has found its starting point. Dünnow, Lindow and Muddel fell to the von Below , where Dünnow remained in possession until 1843. In 1630 the last daughter of the family died.

According to Ledebur , the family is said to have owned Silligsdorf in the 14th century and Neuendorf in the later Regenwalde district at the beginning of the 16th century .
