The Taubenbreite Hospital is a listed hospital complex in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt . Today the facility serves as a care center.

location

The building complex registered in the Quedlinburg monument register is located west of the historic Quedlinburg old town on the corner of Lazarettstrasse and Taubenbreite.

Architecture and history

The hospital was built around 1910, according to other information in 1903, and its layout is reminiscent of the architecture of baroque castles. The main building is located on the north side of the area. To the east there are three small buildings staggered in height.

The area is surrounded by a plot of land. There is a gatehouse at the entrance. In the middle of the area there is a small park.

Initially the house served as a hospital for the neighboring infantry barracks . In 1945 a tuberculosis hospital was set up in the facility . It was later converted into a gynecological clinic and later a care center.
