The Krebssee in the municipality of Lehmrade near Mölln is oval in shape, measures 210 meters at the narrowest point, the greatest length is 570 meters, in the middle of the lake it is 12 meters deep.
The lake is part of a glacially formed, in north-south direction oriented chain of lakes in Hellbachtal consisting of narrow , Lüttauer , glandular , cancer, Lott- and Schwarzsee there.
The water of the Krebssee is very clean and colored turquoise due to the high lime content, there are no inflows or outflows. It is still home to crayfish today . The water framed by mixed forest can only be reached on foot or by bike. There is a swimming area on the east bank. There are colonies of water lilies on the western bank.
