The Drüsensee is a forest lake in the Lauenburg Lake District in the southeast of Schleswig-Holstein . The lake got its peculiar name from the "Drüsen" estate in the northeast .

geography

The lake is located about four kilometers south of the town of Mölln , but belongs to the municipality of Lehmrade in the Gudow-Sterley district , in the district of the Duchy of Lauenburg . In the north it connects to the Hellbach valley south of Mölln , and is also the first lake in the Mölln chain of lakes .

The Drüsensee is about 2 km long, up to 450 m wide and has an area of ​​73 ha. The mean lake level is 14  m above sea level. NN . The lake is a nature reserve and is located in the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park . Driving on the lake with pleasure boats is not allowed. The lake, which is mostly surrounded by forest areas, is popular with hikers, joggers, bikers, anglers and horse riders as a local recreation area . There is therefore a restaurant, a campsite and a riding stables on the north bank .
